In this work, I chart the movement of a knight across an 8x8 grid, mapping its trajectory as a constellation against the vastness of deep space. The interplay of chess and space is a meditation on scale—both realms are governed by immense numerical complexities. The Shannon number, which estimates the vast possibilities within chess, mirrors the incomprehensible vastness of the cosmos. By embedding a finite sequence of moves within an infinite expanse, this work contemplates the paradox of bounded systems generating limitless possibilities, much like the universe itself.
